The thing about Beauty Blenders

Hi guys, how's your week going?
Today I thought I would share my thoughts about using a beauty blender. Let me just start by saying I do not use them and it's probably beacause I do not know how to use them.

I ordered two sometime  last year from beautykink and I was super excited because I had watched plenty videos talking about how beauty blenders are life savers and how it would help with blending of your foundation properly and all that kind of stuff.
My haul came and I got the shock of my life...the beauty blenders were soo HARD!!. Initially I assumed that they must have given me a wrong order beacuse I didn't know how this rock was supposed to help me blend my foundation properly. So I did some researching and I found out that , that is how most beauty blenders come when they are new and then it would supposedly get soft with time.
So I started using it and oh i learnt that your beauty blender should be a bit wet in order to help with the blending. After a while i just gave up, because i was always looking forward to my beauty blender becoming soft and it never did plus it did NOT let me blend properly.
Don't get me wrong people, I am not here to criticize the use of beauty blenders because some people swear by it but I am just saying that you have to learn to use what works for you. There is no hard and fast rule to makeup. Don't think because your favorite makeup artist used a beauty blender to achieve a certain look and then you insist on using every single thing the person used to achieve that look.
I am going to do a separate post on Copying other makeup artists; what and what not to copy.
I have found that beauty blenders do not work for me and so I stick to my brushes and makeup sponges or wedges( which are soft by the way) and I can work them anyway I want and still get my desired result .
So there you have it guys. What are your thoughts
about beauty blenders? Do they work for you?

I love you for visiting my blog today
XOXO,
Ifealako.
